James Morgart

James Morgart recently completed his Ph.D. at The Pennsylvania State University. His work is primarily focused on postwar American Gothic literature and film, with a particular interest in occurrences of the uncanny and abjection within these works. His dissertation examines how postwar American literature uses the Gothic to exhume horrors endured by marginalized groups, thereby disrupting dominant regional narratives. His most recent publications have appeared in The Gothic World (2014) and The Bloomsbury Encyclopedia of the American Enlightenment (2015). He currently teaches in New Jersey.
