Jan Allen
Jan Allen is currently working as a visual artist and research supervisor, supporting a cohort of professional doctoral students from The MIECAT Institute. Originally trained in education and arts, Jan met Warren, Jean and Andrew at La Trobe University where she worked in health sciences and education. She, alongside Warren, Jean and Andrew, then devoted her energies to the establishment of MIECAT, where she was previously the academic director, leading MIECAT’s innovative, multimodal and relational pedagogy. Her current interests include arts-based and arts-informed research and seeing the arts as research and her re-invention as an artist.
