He holds a faculty position at LUCA School of Arts, where he is a member of the Art, Imagination & Language research cluster (Image Research Unit). His poetry films have been selected at major video and poetry film festivals, such as the ‘ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival’ (Berlin), ‘Videoformes’ (Clermont-Ferrand) and ‘VideoBardo’ (Buenos Aires). Jan P. L. Peeters holds a master’s degree in Germanic languages and literatures from the University of Ghent, as well as a bachelor’s degree (Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam) and a Master of Fine Arts (KASK, Ghent). He obtained a Ph.D. in the arts from the associated Faculty of the Arts (LUCA School of Arts/KU Leuven) with his research on the intermedial combination of moving images and written text.
