Jane Carr

Jane Carr is Head of the School of Media and Performance at the University of Bedfordshire. She draws on her experiences of performing, creating and teaching dance to inform her research into embodiment and the significance of dance that was the subject of her Ph.D. (Roehampton University, 2008) and more recent journal articles and book chapters including 2014 ‘LandMark: Dance as a site of intertwining’, Journal of Dance and Somatic Practices (6:1, pp. 47–58) and, with Irven Lewis, ‘Improvisational practices in jazz dance battles’, in V.
