Janine Brophy-Dixon
Janine Brophy-Dixon is an artist, art therapist and researcher who recently completed a Ph.D. at La Trobe University, on mother–daughter separation and dislocation. Janine is most interested in the area of arts and health. She plans to create art-based projects by developing postcard communication methods for children, youth and the aged. Janine’s work history includes social work and art therapy and she has worked with people recovering from drug and alcohol abuse and a brief time in Alice Springs working with traumatized Aboriginal children.
