Jeannine E. Relly

Jeannine E. Relly is a professor in the School of Journalism at The University of Arizona and holds a courtesy appointment with the School of Government and Public Policy. She is director of Global Initiatives for the Center for Border and Global Journalism and is an affiliated faculty member with the university’s Center for Latin American Studies, Center for Middle Eastern Studies and the Center for Digital Society and Data Studies. She is a humanitarian assistance technical support faculty at the university and a faculty affiliate with the Graduate Human Rights Practice Program. She has authored and co-authored dozens of academic studies and a monograph and is co-author of the book, Surviving Mexico: Resistance and Resilience among Journalists in the Twenty-first Century (University of Texas Press, 2021). She received a Ph.D. from the School of Public Affairs at Arizona State University.
