Dr. Jennifer Otter Bickerdike is a media and music academic, specializing in fan culture, the cult of dead celebrity, pop culture and music. She has written and presented extensively on fandom and media, using her experience as a former American music industry and Silicon Valley executive to explore a range of societal issues and behaviours. Jen’s recent appearances include BBC Radio 6 Music, Channel 4, The Guardian, Camp Bestival, Bestival at Goldsmiths University of London, Manchester Off The Record, TruTV and Liverpool Sound City on the shared grief of losing Prince and David Bowie, as well as co-hosting Classic Album Sundays’ celebration of 30 Years of The Smiths’ The Queen is Dead.
