Jennifer Waite
Jennifer Waite is an MNSc. student at Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Before becoming a registered nurse she was a figure skating choreographer and teacher for seventeen years. She went back to university as a 39-year-old single mother of four children and found completing an undergraduate nursing degree to be tremendously empowering. Jennifer is transferring the art of storytelling from the ice surface to her master’s thesis, using scholarly personal narrative to explore how nursing education shaped her understanding of self-compassion.
