Jimmy Lee
Jimmy Lee, MFA (dist.), is a photography lecturer, Ph.D. candidate, visual art practitioner and documentary photographer – born in British Hong Kong in 1993. Lee’s photographic practice concerns the ideology of the Hong Kong people, representation of wishful thinking, collective memory and trauma. He is currently undertaking his Ph.D. at the University for the Creative Arts, partnered with University of the Arts London. His doctoral research focuses on the aftermath of political conflicts in Hong Kong, cultural feelings, representation of trauma and photographic practice. In addition, Lee sets out to discover the possibility of documentary photography, expand its horizons and work with projects that convey his interests.
