Jin Liu
Jin Liu (Ph.D., Cornell University) is associate professor of Chinese Language and Culture at Georgia Tech, Atlanta, USA. Her interdisciplinary research studies contemporary Chinese popular culture and media culture from the perspective of language, music, voice and sound. She is the author of Signifying the Local: Media Productions Rendered in Local Languages in Mainland China in the New Millennium (2013). She has published articles in many peer-reviewed journals, including positions: Asia Critique; Journal of Chinese Cinema; Twentieth-Century China; Chinese Literature: Essays, Articles, Reviews; Modern Chinese Literature and Culture; Journal of Modern Literature in Chinese; and Chinese Language and Discourse.
