Joan Ferrés
Joan Ferrés has a Ph.D in Information Sciences (UAB), a Bachelor’s degree in Information Sciences (UAB) and a Bachelor’s degree as a Teacher in Primary Education (Universitat de Barcelona). He is a senior lecturer at the Department of Communication at UPF and a member of the Audiovisual Communication Research Unit (UNICA). His research specializes in media literacy, communication and emotional competence. He has been the PI for different projects related to media literacy, such as ‘Undergraduate teaching faced with audiovisual communication competence in a digital environment’ and is also the author of several books, such as La educación como industria del deseo and Las Pantallas y el cerebro emocional.
