Joana Soares
Born in Lisbon, Joana Maria studied film in Portugal and soon began to gravitate towards artist’s film. She later completed an MRes in moving image at Central Saint Martins, held in partnership with LUX Artists’ Moving Image. Her research focuses on craft and resourcefulness, often looking at domestic practices in parallel to film and moving image. Her practice takes the shape of writing, film and digital video performances.
