Joanna Kędra
Joanna Kędra, Ph.D., is postdoctoral researcher in the Finnish Institute for Educational Research, University of Jyväskylä, Finland. Her research focuses on press photography, press photo genre typology, visual literacy and visual research methods. In her doctoral dissertation, she developed methods for the interpretation of journalistic photographs to be used in visual literacy education. Her current research explores method of assessment of visual literacy skills in higher education. She teaches cross-disciplinary courses on visual research methods.
