Jonathan Boddam-Whetham

Jonathan Boddam-Whetham received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Essex. His thesis was on ‘Being-with, authenticity, and the question of community in Being and Time’, which focused on a reconstruction of the social ontology found in Heidegger’s text. He is currently a writer, critic and independent researcher. His most recent project is titled ‘Transforming Heidegger: Re-thinking authenticity through performance philosophy’. By looking at resonances within performance philosophy his intent is to provide a radical reworking of Heidegger’s master concept in a way that offers a greater understanding of the problem of the individual and community in relation to marginal practices and liminality.
