Jonathan Westin
Jonathan Westin is associate professor of conservation, research coordinator at the Centre for Digital Humanities and co-director of the Heritage Visualization Laboratory at the University of Gothenburg. In his research, he studies how we form our perception of the past through representations and how these representations become part of our cultural heritage. By focusing on the communicative aspects of heritage management, he approaches the creation of visual representations as a negotiation process between new research and established images. Recent publications include articles in the Journal Nordic Museology, the International Journal of Heritage Studies, Visual Anthropology Review and the Journal of Gaming and Virtual Worlds.
