José María Mesías-Lema

José María Mesías Lema is an artivist educator and a promoter of sensitive learning, with a Ph.D in visual arts and education by the University of Granada. He was a professor of art education at the University of Santiago de Compostela from 2007 to 2009, and is now a professor at the Faculty of Education, University of A Coruna, Spain. His educational research is based on the contemporary art education and the visual arts, which explores an activist pedagogical approach to the sensitivity of artistic education and its input in students’ lives. It explores the sensitive power of transforming the potential of relational aesthetics in professional training and the teacher’s development.
