José Reig Cruañes
José Reig Cruañes is a lecturer (profesor contratado) at the Faculty of Communication at the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) in Cuenca (Spain). He graduated in geography and history (contemporary history) from the Universitat de Valencia and holds a Ph.D. in history at the Universitat d’Alacant. He has a postgraduate qualification in librarianship and documentation at the Universitat d’Alacant. José Reig Cruañes has been a professor at communication faculties for 25 years in Valencia and Cuenca and was a documentalist at the RTVE Assessor Council and a member of the Citizenship Council of À Punt (Regional Public Communication Platform) in the Valencian Community. He has developed his research work, in the form of books and scientific articles, around ‘political culture’ under the dictatorship, the construction of the ‘public sphere’ and the behaviour of the media in the transition to democracy.
