Joseph R. Wolin

Joseph R. Wolin, a critic and curator based in New York, has contributed to Frieze, Border Crossings, Glasstire, and Time Out New York, among other publications. He has curated more than 25 exhibitions since 1994, including (with Wayne Baerwaldt) The Royal Art Lodge: Ask the Dust, which traveled to six venues in four countries during 2003–05; Open This End: Contemporary Art from the Collection of Blake Byrne, which traveled to four American university art galleries in 2015–16; and (with Rina Carvajal) Living Together, a yearlong series of exhibitions, performance art, concerts, readings, and films at the Museum of Art and Design at Miami Dade College in 2018. He has served as a founding board member of Participant, Inc., in New York since 2002, and teaches in the MFA Photography programs at Parsons School of Design, The New School, in New York; and Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
