Juan Jiménez-Salcedo

Juan Jiménez-Salcedo is associate professor of translation and interpreting studies at Université de Mons, Belgium. He was a senior advisor for the Government of the Principality of Andorra (Ministry of Education). His current research focuses on language policy in Canada and Catalan-speaking territories, as well as public service translation and interpreting. Some of his most recent publications are ‘Le débat autour du bilinguisme des juges à la Cour suprême du Canada: analyse de la doctrine et des débats parlementaires’, Revue internationale de sémiotique juridique, 33:2, pp. 325–51 (2020); ‘A minoritized language on both sides of the border: Legal framework and language policy of Catalan in Andorra and Catalonia’, Multilingua: Journal of Cross-Cultural and Interlanguage Communication, 38:2, pp. 155–68 (2019) and (with Esther Monzó-Nebot) Translating and Interpreting Justice in a Postmonolingual Age (Vernon Press, 2018).
