Júlia Durand
Júlia Durand is a musicology Ph.D. candidate at the NOVA University of Lisbon, Portugal. She is a member of the Centre of Sociology and Musical Aesthetics (CESEM) and takes part in the research activities of its Group for Studies in Sociology of Music (SociMus) and Group for Advanced Studies in Music and Cyberculture (CysMus). In addition to several papers on music and audio-visuals presented at international conferences such as Music and the Moving Image, her research has been published as chapters in edited volumes and in the journals Music, Sound and the Moving Image and Revista Portuguesa de Musicologia. Her Ph.D. was funded with an FCT grant (SFRH/BD/132254/2017), and it focuses on the production and use of library music in online media.
