Júlia González de Canales Carcereny

Júlia González de Canales is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Vienna. Previously she taught Spanish and Latin American literature at the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. She holds a Ph.D. in organizational studies and cultural theory from the University of St. Gallen and is the author of Enrique Vila-Matas. Placer e irritación (Anthropos-Siglo XXI, 2016). Her research interests include Vila-Matas’ oeuvre and Latin American art-house contemporary films. Her articles have been published in Romance Studies and Fotocinema, among others. She is also the co-editor of Fronteras nebulosas. El potencial de los espacios ambiguos (Iberoamericana, 2014), Metamedialidad. Los medios y la metaficción (Orbis Tertius, 2017) and Estéticas hispánicas globales. Literatura, cine y televisión (L’Atalante, forthcoming 2018).
