Julia Petrov
Julia Petrov is curator of daily life and leisure at the Royal Alberta Museum in Edmonton, Canada. She has published widely in the areas of fashion history and museology, including the monograph Fashion, History, Museums: Inventing the Display of Dress (Bloomsbury, 2019). She is particularly interested in questions of gender, historiography, nationalism and iconography. Dr Petrov is vice president of publications for the Costume Society of America, and exhibition reviews editor for the journal Dress. She is a member of the editorial board for ZoneModa.
