Juliane Scholz

Juliane Scholz is a postdoctoral cultural and media historian. She was senior researcher and lecturer at the Cultural Sciences Institute at the University of Leipzig. From 2010 until 2013 she held a dissertation scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation. In 2014 she gained her Ph.D. in comparative modern cultural and social history with a dissertation on the professional history of screenwriters in the United States and in Germany. She was a member of the international Graduate School ‘Global and Area Studies’ at the ‘Research Academy Leipzig’. Her research areas include modern social and cultural history of eastern and central Europe and the United States; migration and exile studies; film and TV history; professionalization and intellectual property.
