Julie Boéri
Julie Boéri is an associate professor at Hamad Bin Khalifa University. She is the vice-president of the International Association of Translation and Intercultural Studies. She is the director of publication and co-founding editor of Encounters in Translation, an open access, transdisciplinary journal in translation. Julie obtained a Ph.D. in translation and intercultural studies from the University of Manchester (UK). Her academic work focuses on the translational nature of sociopolitical and technological change, with a particular interest in the ethics and politics of mediation and communication in professional, artistic and scholarly practice.
