Julyen Hamilton
Julyen Hamilton is a dancer and choreographer who has been performing and making pieces for the last 40 years. His work often and naturally employs text and dance composed spontaneously onstage. He has worked for long in combination with live music, playing with many of the best avant-garde musicians of his and later generations. He directs his most recent company Allen’s Line, whose work is characterized by improvised excellence and the integration of text and poetry within the dance medium. He teaches his work all over the world, allowing it to reach the essence of subjects such as space, time and the use of objects onstage.
