Karen Collins
Karen Collins is associate professor in the communication arts programme at the University of Waterloo. Her academic research focuses on sound’s relationship to media and technology, including in video games, slot machines, film and mobile phones. She is also an independent filmmaker, having created several experimental short films as well as the feature-length documentary Beep: A Documentary History of Game Sound.
