Karen M. Bailey

Karen M. Bailey is an environmental social scientist interested in human–environment interactions, climate change, sustainable rural livelihoods and equity in conservation. She combines social and environmental data to understand feedbacks between communities and their environments, how we can build resilience to climate change, and how to support landscapes that meet human needs and sustainability goals. Bailey obtained her master’s and Ph.D. from the University of Florida and is an assistant professor at University of Colorado Boulder.
