Karen Meyer is Associate Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Pedagogy at the University of British Columbia. Her research, writing, and teaching involve practicing teachers, from inner city Vancouver, Canada to Dadaab Refugee Camp, Kenya. She is a co-researcher in the Living, Learning, and Teaching in a Refugee Camp international research project. She is a poet and creative writer.
