Kate Hearst
Kate Hearst is a film historian and critic based in New York. She writes for Film International and is a contributor to the collection, ReFocus: The Films of Barbara Kopple, edited by Jeff Jaeckle and Susan Ryan (Edinburgh University Press, 2019). Kate earned her Ph.D. and MFA in film at Columbia University, and has taught film studies at Sarah Lawrence College, Brooklyn College and the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema.
