Katharina Biringer
Mag. Katharina Biringer is junior scientist at the Institute for Comparative Media and Communication Studies (CMC) at the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) based in Vienna. She graduated in 2019 at the University of Vienna. In her master’s thesis she dealt with the impact of digitization on Radio Orange, Austria’s biggest community radio station. Since 2020 she is deputy chairwoman of Radio Orange. Currently she is working on her first own project, which aims to depict the Austrian community media’s role in the ongoing pandemic and is working on her dissertation about the media literacy of poorly educated people.
