Katherine C. Zubko

Katherine C. Zubko, Ph.D., is an associate professor of religious studies at University of North Carolina Asheville. Her book, Dancing Bodies of Devotion: Fluid Gestures in Bharatanatyam (Lexington, 2014) is an ethnographic analysis of religiously pluralistic themes within the traditionally Hindu dance form of bharatanatyam. She conducts research on body, ritual, gender and performing arts in South Asian communities.
