Katherine Moline
Katherine Moline is Associate Professor, UNSW School of Art and Design and Convenor of the Design Honours programme. Her research focuses on the shifting dynamics between technological and social forces in experimental art and design. Recent publications include Undesign: Critical Practices at the Intersection of Art and Design (Routledge, 2018) and Food Democracy: Critical Lessons in Food, Communication, Design and Art (Intellect, 2017). Her innovative approaches to research are documented in Uncertainty and Possibility: New Approaches to Future Making in Design Anthropology (Bloomsbury, 2018) and The Routledge Companion to Digital Ethnography (Routledge, 2017). As UNSW Faculty Research Fellow, Katherine led the curatorial team for the touring exhibition The Data Imaginary: Fears and Fantasies (2021–23). She is currently preparing a manuscript on socially engaged design and the radical imaginary commissioned by Bloomsbury.
