Kathy Stearne

Kathy Stearne lectures on landscape history and runs a consultancy in countryside management. She has worked in the countryside for over 40 years, listening to and recording the craftsmen and women who work both outside and inside their homes. Her background is in land management, ecology and the historic environment, gaining a doctorate in historical countryside management of the water meadows from Imperial College, London. She is experienced in, needlework, lacemaking, goldwork and is a ‘drowner’ of water meadows.
