Katya Bloom
Katya Bloom, Ph.D., CMA, is a movement artist and a dance movement psychotherapist and has been a teacher of both therapists and actors, including many years at Roehampton University and at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. She is author or editor of four books, including The Embodied Self: Movement and Psychoanalysis (Routledge, 2006) and Embodied Lives: Reflections on the Influence of Suprapto Suryodarmo and Amerta Movement (Triarchy, 2014) as well as many articles. Since 2010 she lives in Santa Barbara, CA, where she continues developing her movement practice and makes figurative clay sculpture.
