Katya Krylova

Katya Krylova is a Ph.D. researcher at the New Zealand Centre for Human-Animal Studies (NZCHAS) at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch. She holds an MA in contemporary art theory from Goldsmiths, University of London. In her doctoral project, she addresses ethical issues related to the simulation of animal speech in social media and popular culture. Her research interests also include critical studies of cuteness and the representation of animals in contemporary art, film and video games.
