Kaveh Bassiri

Kaveh Bassiri has taught Persian literature and film courses and run public film screenings at the University of Arkansas. His most recent and forthcoming writings include ‘Shame and revenge in Elle’s Paris and The Salesman’s Tehran’ for Senses of Cinema (2017); ‘Shifting roles: Iranian women in focus at Tehran’s 2016 Fajr Film Festival’ for the Journal of Middle East Women’s Studies (forthcoming) and ‘Masculinity in Iranian cinema’ for the Global Encyclopedia of LGBTQ History (forthcoming). He is a regular contributor to the Michigan Quarterly Review.
