Kayt Davies
Kayt Davies has been a lecturer in journalism at Curtin University, Australia, since February 2020. Prior to this, she was head of the Journalism Programme at Edith Cowan University, Australia. Her research interests include the pedagogy of data journalism, journalism in conflict zones and local news initiatives. She is also site coordinator of The Junction, which publishes student journalism produced by 27 universities. Her career started with a cadetship on Perth’s metro daily and moved into business writing, followed by a stint in international news in London. Returning to Perth, she edited local newspapers and magazines, studied, parented and wrote freelance before becoming an academic.
