Keung Yoon ‘Becky’ Bae

Keung Yoon ‘Becky’ Bae is a Ph.D. candidate in the department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations at Harvard University. Her current research interests include colonial cinema during the Japanese empire, film and cultural policy in Korea throughout the twentieth century, and new forms of media in contemporary South Korea. Her paper on film censorship and regulation in Korea from 1940 to the 1970s has been accepted for publication in an anthology of colonial cinema scholarship by Taipei University of the Arts.
