Kiersten Jakobsen
Kiersten Jakobsen is a Ph.D. Candidate (ABD) in the Department of Art & Art History at Stanford University. Her work focuses on the art and film of the Russian and Soviet avant-gardes, as well as the cinema of Eastern Europe. Kiersten's dissertation explores the long-take aesthetic in the work of Andrei Tarkovsky, Sergei Paradjanov, Aleksandr Sokourov and Miklós Jancsó (among others).
