Kim Barker
Kim Barker is a senior lecturer in law at the Open University Law School, Open University, United Kingdom. Her research explores the regulation and control of online multiuser platforms, including online environments (particularly online games and social media sites), and the intersection between online content, user responsibility, platform provider responsibility and legal regulations. She explores the issues of online content regulation and online speech, including online hate, online misogyny and online violence against women. Her research has been cited by governments, parliamentary committees and NGOs and has been presented widely, both nationally and internationally.
