Kirsten Hutchison
Dr Kirsten Hutchison’s research reflects an interest in the development of innovative approaches to research, teaching and learning required for global and digital futures. She uses critical and creative qualitative methodologies and draws on the multimodal affordances of visual ethnography and mixed method approaches, to develop nuanced accounts of complex social issues. She is an active member of Deakin University’s Strategic Research Centre in Education, Research for Educational Impact (REDI), located within the School of Education. She has worked in research and professional collaborations funded by the Australian Research Council Linkage Program, the Higher Education Participation and Partnerships Program (HEPPP), the Victorian Department of Education, Catholic Education Office Melbourne and the Centre for Multicultural Youth.
