Kirsty Johnston
Kirsty Johnston is an Associate Professor in the Department of Theatre and Film at the University of British Columbia. Her book Stage Turns: Canadian Disability Theatre (MQUP, 2012) received the 2012 award for ‘Best Book in Canadian Studies’ from the Canadian Studies Network-Réseau d’études canadiennes. It includes a chapter exploring some of the performances that ran alongside or in association with the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Her book Disability Theatre and Modern Drama: Recasting Modernism appeared with Methuen Bloomsbury in 2016.
