Kirwan McHarry
Kirwan McHarry is an independent scholar of gender and of Japanese popular culture whose work appears in books and scholarly journals. She co-edited the first book in English about boys’ love manga as well as a special section about it in the Journal of Graphic Novels and Comics. She organized the session ‘Queer Uses of New Media’ at the Modern Language Association and has read papers at the Popular Culture Association and at universities in Europe and the United States.
