Kivanç Kilinç
Kıvanç Kılınç is Associate Professor of Art and Architectural History in the Department of Architecture and Design at the American University of Beirut (AUB). Kılınç received his Ph.D. (2010) from Binghamton University, SUNY, and master’s degree (2002) from the Middle East Technical University. His current research focuses on transnational connections and their consequences, which have shaped contemporary social housing practices in Turkey and the Middle East. Kılınç has published extensively in academic journals as well as in edited volumes, and is the co-editor of Social Housing in the Middle East: Architecture, Urban Development, and Transnational Modernity (Indiana University Press, 2019).
