Kyungjae Jang

Kyungjae Jang is an associate professor/lecturer in the Graduate School of Integrated Arts and Sciences, Hiroshima University. He holds a Ph.D. and MA in tourism studies from Hokkaido University and a BA from Korea University. Jang has conducted participatory research on transnational Japanese contents tourism, focusing on popular culture-related tourism and events in the United States, France, Tunisia, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. His recent publication is Contents Tourism in Japan: Pilgrimages to ‘Sacred Sites’ of Popular Culture (2017, with Philip Seaton, Takayoshi Yamamura and Akiko Sugawa-Shimada).
