Leah King-Smith
Leah King-Smith is a Bigambul/Australian visual artist, lecturer and academic lead (Indigenous) in learning and teaching in the School of Creative Practice at QUT. Leah’s focus is particularly driven by change for equity and cultural competence in teaching and learning, as well as the promotion of cultural perspectives in practice-led research. Leah has an extensive exhibition career as a photo and digital media artist and has work held in numerous gallery collections. Leah also works with Indigenous and non-Indigenous creatives and communities across a broad range of media forms such as imaging for music, theatre and dance; involvement in community art events and performing as a singer and musician.
