Linda Hartley

Linda Hartley is a writer, teacher, therapist and founding director of the Institute for Integrative Bodywork and Movement Therapy (www.ibmt.co.uk), which runs an International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association (ISMETA)-approved training programme in the United Kingdom, Russia and Lithuania. Linda is also a teacher of the Discipline of Authentic Movement. She has practised as a somatic and transpersonal psychotherapist, has an MA in somatic psychology, an advanced diploma in transpersonal psychotherapy and is a certified BMC® Teacher and an ISMETA-registered somatic movement therapist. The study and practice of Tibetan Buddhism has supported and inspired her work, as has her personal Authentic Movement practice, which she studied with Janet Adler for many years. Linda is author of Wisdom of the Body Moving (1995); Servants of the Sacred Dream: Rebirthing the Deep Feminine – Psycho-spiritual Crisis and Healing (2001); Somatic Psychology: Body, Mind and Meaning (2004); Contemporary Body Psychotherapy: The Chiron Approach (editor, 2009); and a novel The Broken Line (2015).
