Linda Jean Pittwood
Linda Jean Pittwood is a Ph.D. candidate in critical theory and cultural studies at the University of Nottingham, with co-supervision from Birmingham City University and funding from the Midlands4Cities DTP. Linda’s doctoral research focuses on how ‘women’ are inscribed on representations of female bodies in contemporary Chinese art. Her writing has been published in Modern China Studies and Yishu Journal of Contemporary Art, and she contributes regularly as a journalist to print titles and online platforms about contemporary art. Linda contributed to the first Women in Art Summer School at Sotheby’s Institute of Art. From 2009–15 Linda was exhibition officer for Art Galleries at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool.
