Lindy Stiebel
Lindy Stiebel is professor emerita of English studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Her research interests are linked by a deep interest in the relationship between writers and place and include South African literature and popular culture, Indian Ocean studies and literary tourism. She has published books on the exile writer Lewis Nkosi, on the painter-explorer Thomas Baines, the popular Victorian novelist Rider Haggard and, most recently (with Niall McNulty) A Literary Guide to KwaZulu-Natal (University of KwaZulu-Natal Press, 2017).
