Linsey Sainte-Claire

Linsey Sainte-Claire is an assistant professor in the French and Francophone Studies Department at Middlebury College, VT. Her areas of teaching expertise include French language, literature and culture, as well as Caribbean and transatlantic studies. Her research and teaching focuses on postcolonial studies, gender studies, educational studies and psychology. She currently has a book review published in Les Nouvelles Etudes Francophones (2016) and an article titled ‘Regeneration and academic elitism under Alexandre Pétion et Jean-Pierre Boyer (1816-1843)’ in L’Esprit Créateur (2016). Her current book project, Quelques figures de la folie dans la littérature Caraïbo-Guyanaise (Figures of Madness in French Caribbean Literatures), analyses the representation of figures of madness in several contemporary French-Caribbean works of fiction and plays.
